Why Senior Real Estate Specialist (Sres)? Senior Clients require Patience and have needs that younger clients do not have. A Sres Agent must realize that each Senior Client comes with a varied background. Their understand of Real Estate practices varies greatly from client to client. Some clients have vast experience in buying and selling homes and some have lived in only one home. Their physical and mental abilities will vary. The type of housing that will suit their needs vary. Many times, the senior will have the help of a child or another relative.

Senior buyers or sellers will not be a onetime 40-minute listing presentation or a visit to 5 homes and then a sale. Patience is a must and a Sres must have understanding of many special Finance and Government Programs, such as a Reverse Mortgage and Tax deferred exchange. An Sres will have a ready list of associates that can provide legal information to a client (Elder Law) accountant that can give Tax advice and who are familiar with Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
